With this project, I was tasked with coming up with a series of letterforms using the environment around me and taking photographs. Since it likes to snow a lot here in ole PA, I took the opportunity (in a not so gross way) to write my name in the snow and even combined the photographs I took to write my name.
I created this image using a tutorial I found on Designerfix.com. Although it was rather tedious, I had a lot of fun creating this custom text. It has a cool 80’s feel and reminds me of some of the cartoons from way back when and my old SEGA gaming console.
This image serves as a quick mockup for an album cover using various Photoshop techniques such as converting an image to grayscale then back to RGB, applying a color halftone, and arranging vectors and text to achieve a grunge/punk rock look.
This image was the result of a short exercise that required a little color correction and optimization for the web. Details for this exercise can be found in chapter 12 of Digital Foundations.
